Youth & Community Work
A multi award winning youth charity dedicated to engaging with young people via participation in extreme sports and related art and music activities.
As a modern social enterprise and Scottish charity, Transition Extreme uses urban sports and their cultures to attract and engage the local youth population.
More Than a Sports Facility
Transition Extreme is not just a world class sports facility; it is a multi award winning youth charity.
Our superb facilities for skateboarding, BMX, inline skating and climbing are open to everyone. By using our centre, you are helping us to help young people channel their energy, develop their skills and maximise their potential.
Alongside Aberdeen City Council, we have been lucky to offer sessions during the school holidays as part of the ‘In the City’ project. In 2025, we were able to offer 543 free sessions in skateboarding, BMXing and climbing to the children of Aberdeen.
Since we opened we have developed and implemented a number of alternative projects which use extreme sports to encourage young people to take an active role in their own personal development.

Our Aims
Harness Energy
Harness the raw energy of young people in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Increase Participation
Increase participation in sports from childhood to adulthood, engaging those not attracted to conventional sports.
Reduce Antisocial Behaviour
Provide an exciting diversionary facility which supports initiatives to reduce crime, substance abuse and antisocial behaviour.
Re-engage Young People
Engage young people that are disengaged from traditional forms of education, harnessing their raw energy through sport and projecting this towards positive outcomes.
